Carl Peterson, CPA, Vice President of Small FirmsCarl Peterson, CPA, is Vice President of Small Firms at the AICPA. In this role, he serves as the small firm advocate and representative for the profession.In this capacity, he meets with small CPE firms regularly to understand their issues and represent these firms from an advocacy and firm development perspective. Peterson serves as the voice of small firms within the AICPA on standard-setting, regulatory and small business issues. He is responsible for ensuring AICPA initiatives continue to meet the needs of small firms.Carl is a licensed CPA and previously served as a managing partner at Peterson, Peterson & Associates, PLC, in Minneapolis/St. Paul, where he built its service and client base.Carl has a history volunteering within the profession, including having served as a member of AICPA Council and served as a member of the Accounting and Review Services Committee. In addition, he has served the Minnesota Society of CPAs as his leadership accomplishments with the MNCPA include having served as Chairman of the Board of Directors, as well as the Political Action and Legislative Affairs committees. In 2013, he was honored by the Society with their Distinguished Service Award.Peterson graduated from Kansas State with a BS in accounting.close
As the President & CEO of Olbricht Storniolo Group, Joel's professional interests are many and varied. They include leadership, income and estate tax planning, business management and decision-making, strategic planning, building wealth, marketing, and technology planning. Joel received a BBA from Abilene Christian University (Abilene, TX) in 1982 and also passed the CPA exam that year. His professional affiliations include board positions with several organizations: Alexander Eastmen Foundation, NH Estate Planning Council, NH Society of CPAs, Derry (NH) Economic Development Council, Chester College of NE, and the Derry 21st Century Learning Community Corporation.Joel spends his personal time with his wife and two children in addition to volunteering his time to local non-profit activities. He also enjoys photography, gardening, and US travel.close
