Brian F. Tankersley CPA, CITP

Brian Tankersley is a CPA and consultant based in Knoxville, Tennessee. Mr. Tankersley is a frequent speaker at continuing education courses on auditing and technology, and has taught the Becker Conviser CPA Review since January of 1997. He was an adjunct professor at Tennessee Wesleyan College during 1997 and 1998, teaching courses in advanced auditing. He currently teaches continuing education for both the American Institute of CPAs and K2 Enterprises.His areas of practice include accounting systems, taxation, IT consulting, and general business consulting. Prior to forming his own firm Brian practiced in both public accounting and industry. His financial experience includes accounting & auditing, accounting system implementations, tax returns, financial analysis, inventory costing, and audits of public and private companies. His non-financial experience includes retail, wholesale, and manufacturing industry experience, technology strategy, technology management, systems implementation, technical training and documentation.Brian is both a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Information Technology Professional, and has bachelors degrees in both Accounting and Finance, cum laude, from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Brian has served on numerous board of directors and in leadership roles for both his church and in professional organizations. He has served in a number of leadership roles for the Knoxville Chapter of the Tennessee Society of CPAs, and currently serves as its immediate past President. Brian is a member of the Tennessee Society of CPAs, the American Institute of CPAs, and the Information Technology Section of the American Institute of CPAs.
