Committees and Task Forces
Society volunteer groups operate under specific objectives for programs and activities. Volunteer groups provide technical consulting services to members. The NHSCPA staff works with volunteers to assist in carrying out responsibilities.
Membership Meetings

Continuing Professional Education (CPE)
Many diverse seminars, conferences, self-study and in-house training materials are available through the NHSCPA CPE program. This quality-oriented service enables members to expand their professional knowledge, helps them comply with changing professional standards and assists them in meeting mandatory CPE requirements. Members receive a discount on the cost of CPE courses sponsored by the Society. A detailed CPE calendar of programs, and individual course updates, provides information on upcoming courses and events. The programs are listed in our Continuing Education section. Now members can keep track of all their CPE by using the CPE Tracker.

NHSCPA Connection
Published quarterly, the Society newsletter contains the latest in Society news, member and committee activities and technical articles written by members and other professionals. It covers issues affecting the profession, public relations items, member news, Board of Directors' actions and special events. Classified ads provide information on business services and products available to the members.E-News
The NHSCPAs' E-News provides you with interesting, topical articles that contain useful information relative to your business and the profession. The Legislation and Tax Committees jointly prepares an annual Tax Guide for State Legislators, which is posted on our website.Public Service and Media Events
The Society's public relations program provides opportunities for members to participate in the "Ask-a-CPA" annual Radio Broadcast Program and the Military Tax Assistance Program during tax season. The Society circulates articles for local newspapers and disseminates public service announcements on taxation and money management, as well as advertise CPA Services.Legislative/Government Relations (State and Federal)
State legislators hear from the NHSCPA through the Societies elected leadership and our State Legislation Task Force. The Society voices a unified message to protect the integrity of the CPA certificate and the profession. The State Legislation Task Force monitors legislation, with the assistance of legislative counsel, and distributes information to appropriate Society members. Members are asked to assist the NHSCPAs' legislative effort by serving as "key persons" to members in the State Legislature and members of the U.S. Congress.Members of the Society's Federal Legislation Task Force respond to national issues facing our profession within the legislative environment, working closely with Senators and Congressmen.
Meetings with Government Departments and Agencies
The Tax Committee maintains an ongoing relationship with the governmental bodies whose actions have an impact on CPAs, such as the State of NH Department of Revenue Administration and IRS National, Regional and District offices.Other Services
Meeting Room Facilities
A classroom for 50 individuals is located in our Society Office facility accommodating all CPE seminars (except specified programs). It is available upon request for committee meetings. Firms and outside groups may rent the classroom and its audiovisual equipment for meetings.Call the Society office and request a facility brochure.
