The College of Business Administration, an ACBSP-accredited program, invites applications for two (2) full-time faculty position beginning in August, 2018, or sooner. We seek talented individuals who are self-directed learners, and is aware of changes as they happen in the discipline. Applicants are expected to have a strong desire to achieve teaching excellence in a variety of accounting courses with diverse learners, using integrating technology with instruction, and a willingness to teach traditional, blended and online graduate and undergraduate classes. A record of teaching excellence, professional experience, certifications in the field are a strong plus. The BS in Accounting program has a long-standing reputation for producing outstanding accounting graduates who are highly sought after by businesses. A Master of Science in Accounting program started in Fall 2014.
Duties & Responsibilities: For a regular 9-month teaching appointment at PSU, the teaching load for promotion-eligible, non-tenure track teaching faculty is 30-32 credits and 24 credits for tenure-track positions. The successful candidate is expected to teach on-campus, at regional offsite locations during evening hours or weekends and online using the platform adopted by the University. Faculty is also responsible for advising students, engaging with external partners and developing or participating in open labs. The suitable candidate will demonstrate evidence of their own continuous learning, innovative course and curriculum design, pedagogy to support experiential learning and professional development of students, as well as active engagement in scholarship (tenure track position only) and service. Successful candidates will also assist in developing innovative open lab and cluster projects that engage students in applied experiential activities which foster collaboration between multidisciplinary faculty and external partners.
